With the holidays right around the corner, we at the Wire Horse started talking about our favorite gift items to give and to receive. With so many great things in our store, it was hard to narrow it down to just ten, so our top 10 is actually a top 11. That’s how we roll at The Wire Horse. So here are the favorite gift items suggested by each of our staff members.

Julie - Great Gloves

Julie loves the Heritage Extreme Winter Riding Gloves HG299 as her favorite gift item to give AND receive. She says, “If you've ever taken riding lessons in the winter in an unheated barn, then you KNOW how cold your hands and fingers get. These gloves are well insulated and even have a little zippered pocket that you can pop one of those heat packets into that really help cold hands.” They are touch screen friendly and are waterproof. Simply a great glove!

Jenny J. - Equine Collectibles

Jenny J’s pick for a favorite gift item is Breyer Horses. Because she has a daughter who also loves horses, Jenny knows how excited kids get when they receive a new Breyer Horse. She loves that there is such a huge selection of sizes, breeds and themes to choose from. Simply put, Breyer does a great job of representing the entire horse world. (On a personal note: kids aren’t the only ones that love Breyer horses…lots of adults love them, too!)

Val - Comfortable Wera and Easy Care Bling

The entire staff agrees that Montana Silversmiths has beautiful pieces. Val especially loves Montana Silversmiths Bracelets. Beyond their beauty and elegance, she particularly loves that they are comfortable to wear and are easy care. There are so many interesting pieces to choose from, but one of her faves is BC3354 Phases of the World Cuff Bracelet. The design is unique and the turquoise cachobon makes a bold statement.

Carly - Something Warm and Fun

Carly was gracious enough to take time from helping customers on the sales floor to weigh in on her favorite gift item. She likes to stay warm in the cold Michigan winters (don’t we all!), so her favorite gift idea is the Noble Outfitters Renate Cable Knit Hats and Headbands. While she loves the warmth and comfort that these stylish items provide, Carly totally loves the pom pom on the knit hat! Such fun!

Michael - Stylish and Comfortable Footwear

Michael’s favorite gift items are Twisted X Driving Mocs and Shoes.  Not only does he own two pair for himself, but he says, “I have gifted them to my Mom, Dad, and my Aunt and they all love how comfortable they are!” Mike likes the great designs and patterns and the variety of colors offered. Mel - An Olfactory Sensation

Mel is hoping her friends and family read this blog and take the hint that she loves Annie Oakley perfumes. Her very favorite scent is W2000 Wild West for Her. Mel says, “It smells SOOOO good; the perfect mix of floral and fresh scent and the bottle is large enough to last for quite a while.”

Jenny S. - Horse Grooming Essentials

Jenny S. likes to give horse owners a grooming tote stocked with essential brushes, hoof picks and other functional goodies. Her current favorite grooming tote is the Horze 26257 Grooming Bag. She loves this stylish bag because it has lots of pockets to help keep grooming tools organized and is very roomy. The logo on the front is cool too. Once she gets the grooming tote, Jenny has fun picking our brushes and other fun things to fill it with before presenting her gift to the lucky recipient!

Kira - Jeans For Any Occasion

Kira says her favorite gift to give is also her favorite gift to receive: Rock & Roll Cowgirl Jeans. Kira says, “I like that this company uses a higher cotton content in their jeans, which makes them last much longer than some other brands. Since I am all about a great hardworking barn and dinner on-the-town-ready-wardrobe, these jeans are ideal. Add on that they are super comfy and have adorable pocket designs; these are jeans my friends and I just love.”

Beth - Put a Ring On It

Another super fan of Montana Silversmiths great product line, Beth’s favorite gift item is choosing from the line of Montana Silversmiths Rings. These rings are all Montana Silversmith quality and easy care, so Beth knows whoever she gives one to will enjoy it for years to come. She loves so many of their ring styles that Beth has a tough time picking just one! But she does particularly love the look of the RG51CZ Pony Trekker Ring. She finds the combination of little silver horseshoes and sparkling stones hard to resist. Although she does love to give these unique pieces to friends and family, she REALLY loves getting one herself! Hint, hint for anyone who has her on their list.

Gayle - Sock It to 'Em

Gayle loves the Noble Oufitters Peddies. Peddies are lightweight and great with boots, she appreciates how they hug her feet and legs and give her feet a little extra padding when worn. The solid colors are nice, but she especially LOVES the printed Peddies and has trouble picking a favorite because they come in SO MANY cute designs. But if she’s forced to pick one to suggest, she’s drawn to the Coral Space (068) design because it has all her favorite colors included in th design. Comfortable with bright, bold colors..yep, that’s Gayle in a nutshell! No wonder she likes giving Peddies as gifts.

Dave - Buckle Up

Being our resident “country guy,” Dave loves to give belt buckles.
